DUAL EXPANDS MOBILE AUDIO RECEIVER LINEUP WITH EXCITING FEATURES, CONVIENIENCE AND CONNECTIVITY

Comprehensive 2006 Lineup Features Over a Dozen New Models

Las Vegas, NV, January 3, 2006 – Dual Electronics, a leader in innovative high performance/high value electronics for car and home, has dramatically expanded its mobile audio receiver offerings for 2006. The new lineup features an outstanding array of leading-edge technologies, combined with thoughtful convenience features designed for today\'s \"media-anywhere\" lifestyles.

Dual\'s lineup for 2006 features more than a dozen new mobile audio receivers. In addition to the stylish design and powerful audio performance that Dual has become known for, the line is distinguished by its superior compatibility with today\'s popular digital media hardware and software. Features like the iPlug allow consumers unrivalled flexibility in bringing their favorite music into Dual audio systems.

“Digital media now comes from everywhere,” said Robb Groner, Director of Product Development, Namsung America, Inc., parent company of Dual Electronics. “Whether it\'s from a disc, a broadcast or a portable player, our head units allow music lovers to enjoy it all while they\'re in their car.\"

Dual\'s iPlug bridges the gap between handheld and in-car audio by giving users an easy, uncluttered solution for connecting virtually any portable audio device into the receiver. Two new models will also support Microsoft\'s PlaysForSure technology, which means that when they are used with the EAUSB20 Media Adapter (sold separately), and connected to select MP3 players, end-users command and control the MP3 Player from their Dual mobile audio systems.

A Broad Range For Every Music Lover
The first new Dual mobile receiver out of the gate is the XDMP680 AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA audio receiver/media player controller, boasting 200 watts of clean audio power into four channels. Featuring both iPlug technology, and PlaysForSure compatibility, the AM-FM receiver plays MP3/WMA encoded CD-R/RW discs. The stylish faceplate is fully electronic and detachable, and users can choose from five selectable EQ curves to tailor the sound to their favorite music. The XDMP680 will ship the first quarter for a suggested retail price of $249.99.

At the top of the new Dual lineup is the flagship XDMR7710 AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA/XM audio receiver/media player controller, designed to complement even the most sophisticated mobile interiors. The unit features a piano black finish and a motorized two-step detachable face that conceals the unit’s display. The XDMR7710 is an XMDirectTM controller, and will be available in the second quarter with a suggested retail price of $299.99.

Similar to the XDMR7710, the new XDMR7510 features 220 watts of power into four channels, with a motorized two-step detachable drop-down face, and playback of MP3/WMA files from CD-R/RW discs. The stylish interface displays alphanumeric track information and ID3v1 tags. The XDMR7510 will ship in the second quarter with a suggested retail price of 249.99.

Also new from Dual, the XDMR6850 receiver features XMDirect controller capability with both iPlug technology and PlaysForSure compatibility for the widest select ion of audio entertainment possibilities. Three pairs of auxiliary preamp outputs allow integration into even the most elaborate mobile audio setups, and extensive control options provide the ultimate in convenience and performance. Available in the second quarter, the XDMR6850 will carry a suggested retail price of $249.99.

Even Dual\'s entry-level models for 2006 provide the admirable mix of features and value that is making Dual the most talked-about name in mobile audio. The detachable-face XD5220 features an impressive 120 watts into four channels, and the fixed-face XD5120 offers 100 watts. Both feature CD-R/CD-RW compatibility, high-speed audible track search, and preamp outputs. The XD5220 is available now at a suggested retail price of $119.99, and the XD5120 will ship in the second quarter at suggested retail price of $99.99.
