DUAL INTRODUCES NEW ARCHTECTURAL SPEAKERS
Simplified Installation and Outstanding Value Mark In-Wall and In-Ceiling Debut
Las Vegas, NV, January 3, 2006 – Dual Electronics today announced it is entering the architectural speaker market with two models that exemplify the company’s high performance to price ratio.
“The majority of new speaker sales these days are custom installed products.” said Robb Groner, Director of Product Development, Namsung America, Inc., parent company of Dual Electronics. “Our new in-wall and in-ceiling speakers will excite retailers and consumers alike because we offer performance that\'s equivalent to, and frequently better than, competing architectural speakers from brands costing much more.\"
The in-wall LA650W (SRP: $139.99) is a 2-way system featuring a 6.5-inch midrange/bass driver with a premium butyl surround. The 1-inch silk dome tweeter uses a rare-earth neodymium magnet and a proprietary, Dual-engineered pivoting feature for outstanding high-frequency response at the seating positions. The speaker will handle 150 watts of power, yet its high 90dB sensitivity lets it work efficiently with as little as 20 watts of power. System response is 45Hz-20 KHz at 8 ohms impedance.
The in-ceiling LA652C (SRP: $139.99) features the same mid-bass driver and tweeter as the LA650W, but in a round, coaxial design. Like its sibling, it offers exceptionally simple installation -- place the unit in the cutout, tighten four screws, snap on the designer grille and the installation is done. Both the LA652C and the LA650W come with white, matte-finish grilles that can be painted to match any decor.
