DUALS NEW MULTIMEDIA SYSTEMS COMBINE
WIDE-RANGING ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS WITH
BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY

-- Entertainment, Safety and Cool Design at a High Value Price Point --

Las Vegas, NV, January 8, 2007 Dual Electronics, the market leader in multimedia in-dash head units and a brand synonymous with feature-rich/high-value electronics for both the car and home, debuts three new DVD-based mobile theater systems for 2007.

Each model offers features that consumers demand in high-end head units, including iPod integration, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free cell-phone operation, touch-screen operation and MP3 compatibilityat highly competitive prices. The flagship model even includes a built-in, full-function navigation system.

Dual jumped to the head of the multimedia market by giving end-users a wide array of features without high prices, commented Robb Groner, Vice President of Product Development, Namsung America, Inc., parent company of Dual Electronics. We intend to maintain our leadership position with this new generation of models that introduce the safety of convenience of Bluetooth connectivity as well as an even greater selection of entertainment and navigation options.

The top-of-the-line XDVDN8290 (SRP: $1,199) offers route guidance via a 6.5-inch motorized 16:9 widescreen LCD touch-screen monitor as well as voice- prompted turn-by-turn directions. Mapping software is loaded behind the motorized, fold-down monitor via an SD card slot, which also allows for quick and easy updates.

The double-DIN XDVDN8290 plays a wide range of disc-based formats: DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 and WMA-encoded CDs and DVDs. Plus it has XMDirectTM tuner control capability for adding a satellite radio subscription to the system. With its included interface cable, the XDVDN8290 will control most iPods (except the Shuffle) by way of its touch screen, and will display all playback information, including Playlists, Artist, Album and Songs. It even allows streaming of video or viewing pictures from G5 iPods. In addition to being able to plug in an iPod, Duals exclusive iPlug interface also provides auxiliary A/V inputs for adding a videogame console or any other external source, and a 3.5-inch mini-plug jack is provided for MP3 players.

Multi-zone A/V and 5.1 audio outputs allow consumers to create a full-blown rear-seat cinema system, and a rear-view camera input is included as well. This impressive array of entertainment options is anchored by a solid audio-feature set, including a five-channel 300-watt MOSFET amplifier, electronic controls and 48 station presets.

Next up is the XDVD8285 (SRP: $799), which, like the XDVDN8290, is compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled cell phones. A built-in microphone allows for hands-free communication and calls can be answered or placed via the XDVD8285s 6.5-inch motorized touch-screen monitor. One-touch phone-book dialing makes calling effortless, while on-screen caller ID allows screening of calls. Plus, the XDVD8285 boasts the same impressive audio and video formats and features of the XDVDN8290.

For vehicles with a single-DIN slot in the dash, the XDVD8185 (SRP: $799) fills the bill while offering the same range of features found on Duals double-DIN DVD receivers, albeit in a smaller chassis. The XDVD8185 features a 7-inch LCD touch-screen that provides fingertip access to a variety of entertainment and communication options. And, like all Dual products, these three new in-dash DVD entertainment systems boast stylish design combined with the latest in high-tech features at the best performance-to-price ratio in the industry.
