DUAL ELECTRONICS GETS BEHIND DRIFT RACING WITH SECOND SPONSORSHIP
-- Program Features Key Sponsorship of Braille Racing Team with Multi-Tier Promotional Program --
HEATHROW, FL, April 22, 2008 – For the second straight year, Dual Electronics
is supporting Drift Racing by becoming a Silver Sponsor of the Braille Battery
Under terms of the sponsorship, the Dual logo will be featured on four high
visibility spots on the racing vehicles, as well as banners, racing suits, and
the team rig. Additionally, Dual will be visible in promotional spots that will
be posted on YouTube and other sites that are popular with racing enthusiasts.
The Braille Battery Racing Team features two of today’s most popular drivers
– Blake Fuller and Bill Sherman – driving a 2006 Nissan 350Z Roadster (pictured
below) and a 2004 Nissan 350Z Coupe .
Drifting, a youth-oriented motor sport centered on the concept of over-steer,
which refers to the way in which a car’s rear slip angle is greater than the
front slip angle, continues to gain in popularity with traditionalists and
newcomers alike. Drivers must navigate a series of turns full-lock sideways, and
are judged subjectively by a panel of judges on the fundamentals of speed,
angle, line, and style.
“We are proud to be a part of one of the most exciting teams in motor
sports,” said Jim Braun, Dual Electronics’ President and CEO. “Last year, the
Dual brand enjoyed excellent exposure that continues to pay dividends in brand
awareness, and we have even greater expecations for the 2008 season.”
“Team Braille Battery is very pleased to have Dual on board as a sponsor for
the 2008 season and know that we can build on the overall exposure from last
years very successful season,” said Fuller. “By developing new relationships
with our marketing partners and having Bill Sherman, last year’s Nopi
Championship driver on the team, we can insure we get maximum exposure for Dual.
Our goal this year is to bring another top level team to the Formula Drift
series and my personal goal is to capture the Nopi Drift Championship. Both Bill
and I have a lot of experience drifting and have a passion for this sport. We
look forward to a great season and appreciate all the support from Dual.”
