HEATHROW, Fla. - (June 1, 2010) Dual Electronics is shipping their newest head unit - XHDR6435 ($159.99 MSRP) - offering the most advanced technology in today’s digital audio landscape, including extensive iPod/iPhone control, Bluetooth® and HD Radio capabilities. This model adds to Dual’s already noteable line of mobile audio head units.
Offering connectivity to iPod®, iPhone®, HD Radioand Bluetooth® wireless technology, this receiver enables consumers to create a high-quality system that fits their entertainment desires, offering a wider range of options to suit their budget and listening requirements.
The front panel USB port offers full support for your iPod® or iPhone®, giving you access and control over the music from the head unit, including on-screen display of song and artist information. With both the USB input and high-level 3.5mm auxiliary input, one can playback a wide variety of external media. The XHDR6435 has an integrated MOSFET high powered amplifier and with two preamp outputs, providing the user the flexibility of adding external amplifiers. A wireless remote control is included allowing for extra convenience and ease.
This Dual in-dash receiver is Bluetooth® ready. When connected to the optional BTM60 Bluetooth module (sold separately), it features A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) technology, streaming high-quality audio from one device to another over a Bluetooth connection. This practicality offers consumers the safety and comfort of hands-free communication with most Bluetooth-enabled cell phones, allowing users to answer and place calls directly from the unit’s front panel controls.
When connected with the Dual HDM90 HD Radio Tuner ($129.99 MSRP - sold separately) with an easy 1-wire connection, the XHDR6435 is capable of receiving HD radio broadcasts, offering clear, CD-like audio static-free reception and innovative multicast content over conventional airwaves - all with no subscription. The HDM90 supports iTunes® Tagging as well; when users hear a song they like on an HD Radio station that is broadcasting metadata, they can ’tag’ the song by pressing and holding the “TAG“ button on the head unit. The information provided about the songs is transferred to the iPod and the next time it is connected to the computer, iTunes automatically presents the songs in a new Tagged playlist so the user has the option to preview the songs before purchasing.
“Full iPod control along with Bluetooth connectivity and HD compatibility are all growing in popularity,“
says Robb Groner, Vice President of Product Development, Dual Electronics Corp., “and we are proud to launch our newest product offering these connectivity features and more.“
