Dual Electronics Expands Product Lines, Restructures Sales Organization
August 25th, 2011
Wednesday, August 24, 2011 -- Heathrow, Fla. - Dual Electronics Corp. has announced a strategic restructuring of its sales organization aimed at supporting the company’s expanded roster of products and product categories. This year alone Dual Electronics will have introduced approximately 61 new SKUs – the largest number since the company was established in 2003.
"Significant growth has taken place in our 12V core business, with the introduction of the Axxera car audio line for independent installation specialists earlier this year, and new Dual CD and Multimedia Receivers this fall," said Jim Braun, President and CEO, Dual Electronics Corp. "The 12V expansion combined with our growth in the marine and GPS markets required us to make substantive additions and changes in our sales force," Braun added.
The restructuring actually began in January 2011, when Ed Sachs joined the company as president of the sales division. Since then, changes have been made to strengthen the group and to streamline its processes to efficiently meet the needs of the growing company. "We flattened the organization, grew its headquarters-based Sales Support group, and continue to hire more managers," said Ed Sachs. "These changes allow us to place more salespeople out in the field, to focus more on serving our growing customer base, and to effectively sell our expanded product assortment," Sachs added.
To that end, Ed Sachs is pleased to announce the following company changes:
• Jim Matthay has joined the Dual team as a Director of National Accounts
• Jimmy Chauffe has joined as a Key Account Manager
• Clyde Podraza was appointed Vice President, International Sales
• Jamie Walt remains in his role of Vice President Sales, Central Division and Specialty Markets
• Matthew Gonzalez continues as East Regional Sales Manager and Axxera Business Development Specialist
• Dan Sandon was appointed Sales Program Director
The expansion of the sales team is still underway and expected to be complete in September 2011.
In addition to the 12V car audio business, Dual’s expanded Marine line features 22 new head units, scheduled for introduction in late fall. Capitalizing on its expertise in GPS navigation, Dual introduced Portable GPS Solutions products in 2010, and its newest XGPS150 Universal Bluetooth GPS Receiver, which was released spring 2011, is now one of the highest-ranked portable GPS receivers on the market. Additionally, Dual recently introduced a line of protective sleeves for touch-screen electronic devices, under the LillyPad brand.
