DUAL SHOWCASES IN-DASH DOCKING STATION
RECEIVER FOR IPOD AND IPHONE DEVICES AT CES

HEATHROW, FL, January 9, 2010 – Booth traffic at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show has been high for a glimpse of Dual’s 240-watt MOSFET mechless AM/FM in-dash docking receiver for iPod and iPhone devices – XML8110.

Dual Electronics newest technology is shipping now to retailers, and allows consumers to securely dock their iPhone or iPod in the dashboard of their car and enjoy the convenience of a “control center” that is right in front of them for easy and quick access. Consumers can now safely utilize iPhone and iPods applications in the car – from listening to Internet radio through your car speakers while navigating to a destination and exploring an area for places of interest, to locating the best deal on gas, checking movie schedules in the nearest theaters and finding a restaurant for dinner. A separate windshield mount is not needed and the charger allows consumers not to drain their device batteries.

Allowing the playing of consumer’s favorite tunes or audio books from their iPod player, the docking station does it safely and easily. It provides a “home” for the iPod in the vehicle, offering browsing of playlists and the ability to choose music directly from the iPod menu using the familiar iPod scroll wheel. Switching from iPod to AM/FM mode is also easy and safe to do.

Dual answers the call that driving has become more than simply getting from point A to point B. For many, the car is the place to catch up with friends and family on a hands-free device, or tune into a sportscast, newscast or Pod cast. It is essential that users are able to keep their eyes on the road, not a map, printed or scribbled directions and safely arrive at their desired destination.

Beyond the AM/FM mechless iPod docking functionality, the XML8110 adds two pairs of RCA outputs (F+R/S selectable) and rear auxiliary input with iplug™ included. The AM/FM tuner supports 30 station presets bringing streamlined user functionality. The advanced features like steering wheel interface input (PAC SWI-PS), infrared remote control and Bluetooth ready capabilities add convenience and safety, along with making the driving experience more enjoyable. By adding a Bluetooth module (BTM60 – $89.99), users can enjoy the safety and convenience of hands-free phone operation.

“We believe this product will get great reception from retail buyers” said Clyde Podraza, President Dual Consumer Division. “It provides easy and convenient features that enhance user lifestyle, music enjoyment and communication. And that’s what our customers expect from Dual and why they seek out our unique offerings.”
