Bring New Performance And Value To The Open Sea --
LAS VEGAS, NV, January 7, 2008 – Dual Electronics has announced a new line of
marine electronics with its most advanced feature set to date, as well as
bundled systems that make it easy to bring the classic Dual sound ship side.
“Most marine head units are out of touch with today's technology-centric
consumers” said Robb Groner, Vice President of Product Development, Dual
Electronics Corp. "Our new line of marine systems brings the power and
convenience of Dual's mobile products to the boating environment, with the same
emphasis on value and performance."
Dual’s new flagship marine unit is the formidable MXDMA8030 ($359.99), a 200
watt head unit that incorporates 7-channel NOAA Weather Band reception in both
US and European frequencies, and also features seamless integration with iPod
media players, with metadata prominently displayed on the face of the receiver.
A six-foot iPod cable is included, as is a wired remote control that allows
boaters to sit in their easy (or fishing) chairs while they enjoy their music.
The MXDMA8030 plays virtually all CD formats, including RW, MP3 and WMA, as
well as AM and FM broadcasts. The housing and controls are UV resistant, for
years of reliable outdoor service.
Two conveniently bundled systems round out Dual's new marine lineup. The
MXCP7030 ($349.99) combines a 200 watt head unit with a pair of 6.5-inch
dual-cone corrosion-resistant speakers. The head unit includes Dual's iPlug for
iPod connectivity. Also included are seven channels of NOAA weather bands, along
with its 30 pre-sets for AM and FM listening, and Dual’s MWR30 marine remote
control. The MXCP65 ($259.99) also includes the same pair of 6.5-inch speakers,
and will control and command most iPods through a menu-driven system. The MXCP65
also comes with the 6 foot iPod interface cable.
Dual Electronics’ new lineup of marine head units will be available at
national chain retailers and select independent specialists.
